Cherry Festival

The cherry festival north east pa is truly an amazing event held every year. The local firemen do a tremendous amount of fund raising to help put this event together along with supporting the firehouse. It will be held this year from July 12-16, 2011 and is worth a drive if you’re within a few hours of North East PA.

Cherry Festival Food

There is always a wide variety of food and some of the best is always there such as sausage, curly fries, kielbasa, bbq, and carnival staples such as funnel cake, candy apples, and much more. You definitely need to come hungry to the cherry festival! Some people actually come to the cherry festival just for the food.

Cherry Festival Rides and Games

Each year at the cherry festival is slightly different with regards to the rides, but you’ll always find the ferris wheel. The cherry festival games include some favorites such as water pistols, coin toss, and many more that give you a chance (albeit slim) of winning stuffed animals and other similar gifts.

Listen for the fireman’s old fire engine horn and you’ll know they’re out selling raffle tickets for the cherry festival 😉
