Northeast PA Cherries

There was a time when cherries were far more abundant in Northeast PA, but now due to the amount of money that can made with grapes there aren’t as many here. This is apparent in the town’s main festival’s name – the Cherry Festival. When cherries are in season there are few places you can find them cheaper and better quality.

Northeast PA Cherries and Farms

The Northeast PA Cherries are grown on a variety of farms and some farms have more than others as you’d expect. It’s hard to put a number on how many farms are in Northeast PA, but what’s not hard is to say that Northeast PA Cherries are some of the best in the states.

Northeast PA Cherries and Trees

Although I’m sure that you already know this I’ll put it out there – Northeast PA Cherries (and all other cherries) grow on trees. There are a wide variety of trees, but essentially all trees look similar. Picking the cherries can be fun, but also challenging and requires a special type of ladder.

When you’re in the area you should see if you can get fresh local Northeast PA Cherries to eat here and take home!
